The Real Cost of Caring for a Baby
When we ask for donations to support families with infants, we want you to understand just how much those contributions matter.

Baby supplies are expensive. Diapers and wipes must be replenished constantly, and formula alone can cost hundreds of dollars a month. For babies who need specialized formula because of medical or feeding needs, those costs can be even higher. Even everyday necessities like baby wash, lotion, and feeding supplies add up quickly.

Then there are the bigger essentials: bottles, a safe place to sleep, a crib, a car seat, and other items needed to care for a growing baby. These upfront expenses can be overwhelming for families already struggling to afford housing, groceries, utilities, and other basic necessities.

We work hard to make every donation go as far as possible. We seek discounts, shop strategically, look for gently used donations and look for affordable options wherever we can. But the reality is that some supplies are ongoing necessities, and many infant items cannot safely or practically be borrowed or purchased used. Babies need clean diapers, appropriate formula, and safe, age-appropriate equipment—and those needs don't pause when a family's budget runs out.

What Your Donation Can Help Provide

Every contribution makes a difference. Depending on current prices, available discounts, and a family's individual needs, your donation can help provide:
-
$10 — A package of diapers or box of wipes (approximately 3 to 10 days' worth of diapers).
-
$25 — A larger supply of diapers, wipes, or several everyday baby essentials.
-
$50 — Multiple infant necessities, helping a family stretch their budget a little further (e.g., diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream).
-
$100 — A meaningful contribution toward ongoing needs like diapers and formula, warm clothing, shoes, etc.
-
$250 or more — Substantial support toward a family's essential supplies, including formula or other costly infant necessities.
These examples are estimates, not guarantees. We use available discounts and bulk purchasing opportunities to maximize the supplies we can provide with every dollar donated.

Your donations provide more than baby supplies. They help relieve financial pressure on parents so they can focus on caring for their children.

A contribution that might seem small can help a parent get through the week with the diapers their baby needs, afford another can of formula, or access essential supplies they otherwise might have to go without.

We believe every family deserves access to the basics of caring for their baby with dignity. Thank you for helping us support families when they need it most.
